SME4SMARTCITIES was present at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, Spain<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The\u00a0SME4SMARTCITIES project<\/a>\u00a0consortium organized a capitalization event\u00a0during the\u00a0Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC<\/a>) from 15th<\/sup>\u00a0to 17th<\/sup>\u00a0November 2022. All partners from Spain, Italy, and Israel were present together with their enterprises.<\/p>

During the fair, the consortium\u2019s stand was shared between the companies involved in the project and they had the opportunity to explain in more detail to visitors the solutions they are working on, to solve urban Mediterranean challenges.\u00a0The SME4SMARTCITIES consortium also welcomed Alejandro Lafarga, a representative from ENI-CBC Med Programme, who gave a short presentation of\u00a0the\u00a0programme and what are the benefits of having all the consortium partners and SMEs together.\u00a0In addition, several of our SMEs highlighted the ease with which it was possible to communicate and share the results with the different municipalities and companies that were present at the congress.\u00a0Among the SME and municipalities that were interested in the SME4SMARTCITIES solutions we remind partners from countries such as South Korea, Japan, Germany, Brazil, etc. Proof of the successful networking is that several SMEs left the event with meetings scheduled to further discuss their solutions.<\/p>

Networking wasn\u2019t the only aspect SMEs highlighted but the opportunity to discover what possible competitors are currently developing or planning to develop as well as the guidance provided from experts during several conferences about the roadmap of different sectors.<\/p>

As a way of promoting the project and also staying commitment to the environment, the SME4SMARTCITIES project, gave to the stand visitors marketing collateral made from recycled materials, including pens, diaries, bags, etc.\u00a0The stand visitors were also asked to fill in a short survey about the solutions themselves. The results of the survey will be included in another article, so stay tuned!<\/p>
