color: #43a6df;\">SME4SMARTCITIES in Israel: 18 SMEs succesfully completed step 1 of the call for proposals<\/p><h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bfc9870 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bfc9870\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p dir=\"LTR\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sme4smartcities.eu\/es\/\">SME4SMARTCITIES<\/a>\u00a0project launched between October and\u00a0November 2021 a Call for Proposals that aims to support SMEs in developing innovative and technological solutions to major urban challenges in the Mediterranean region.<\/span><\/p><p dir=\"LTR\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Proposals were sought to tackle the following urban challenges:<\/span><\/p><ul><li dir=\"LTR\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Smart parking in the Region of Murcia (Spain) for persons with reduced mobility<\/span><\/li><li dir=\"LTR\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Easy and safe usage of electric vehicles in Malaga (Spain)<\/span><\/li><li dir=\"LTR\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Adapting and improving city environments threatened by climate change in Genoa (Italy)<\/span><\/li><li dir=\"LTR\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">The urban heat island effect in Kfar Saba, Tel Aviv and Eilat (Israel)<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p dir=\"LTR\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">The steps of the SME4SMARTCITIES Call for proposals are:<\/span><\/p><ul><li dir=\"LTR\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Step 1: Submit a Short Application (Concept Note) and if successful participate in training and collaboration activities between SMEs and cities. If SMEs successfully complete Step 1 they will be invited to<\/span><\/li><li dir=\"LTR\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Step 2: Submit a Full Application and compete for financial support to develop and test their Smart City Solution.
